Aunt Tessie’s Pear Butter

4lbs – firm ripe pears, peeled, cored and chopped coarsely
1/4 cup – organic sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) – butter
1 tsp. – Grand
1 tsp. – pure vanilla


Combine all ingredients into a pot, and simmer on very low heat. Make sure to stir every 20-30 minutes. Should be done in about 2 hrs.
