Best Raisin Bran Muffins
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 cup apple sauce
3 tsp baking soda
3 cups milk
1 1/2 cups flour
5 cups bran flakes
1 1/2 cups raisins
3 eggs
Cream molasses, brown sugar and butter together. Stir in all remaining ingredients and let stand about 15 minutes to soften bran flakes. Then mix well. Put into muffin pan & bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Makes 12 extra large.
